Rochelle is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Denver, Jefferson, and Gilpin counties, advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children before the courts. She is a member of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE), a national nonprofit organization that promotes the education, professional development, and advancement of women to achieve a strong diversified workforce and support a robust renewable energy economy, and she participates in the WRISE Colorado-Denver chapter’s book club. She serves on the Board of Directors of GRID Alternatives Colorado, a nonprofit that develops rooftop, community solar, and multifamily solar projects benefiting low-income families that has installed over 5.5 MW of solar throughout Colorado. Rochelle uses her legal skills and knowledge to serve a number of community organizations. Rochelle specializes in power purchase agreements, leveraging more than a decade of experience negotiating with traditional utilities, electric cooperatives, and private commercial and industrial offtakers, and has helped clients successfully negotiate and close virtual power purchase agreements or contracts for differences with more than a dozen corporate buyers for more than 700 MW to date. Rochelle has comprehensive experience guiding clients through each nuance of project development contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings (including ISDA and swap agreements), ranging from complex structures to traditional commercial secured transactions. She counsels developers, investors, sponsors, and independent power producers in connection with wind, solar, and alternative energy projects throughout the United States, varying in size from 100 kW to 1000 MW. Rochelle focuses her practice on project development, project financing, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions for clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with a focus on renewable energy. Rochelle will be honored at the Top Women in Energy VIP reception on April 23 at Hyatt Regency Denver.
